DQ's Custom Shop

The 1st DQ custom trumpet. This instrument features Silver plated mouthpipe and trim, Double-Socket reverse tuning, and a 5" copper bell.

This Trumpet was truly a pleasure to build. Pictured is a benge 5x that one of my copper bells has been added to with some thick plate bracing. I got to put this instrument together for one of my dear friends.

Though I do very few cornets, this was one that I was willing to take on. The customer was very kind, patient, and easy to work with. Build off of an Olds Special valve block, this instrument features a copper bell with semi-shepherds crook. The bell is rimless and has a 5" flare. 

The "donor trumpet" for this project was one purchased to do an original restoration to. This is a Getzen 700. It features a DQ custom copper bell with elliptical bell bow and heavy plate bracing. For full pictorial and before and after shots click on the image.
